As it was certainly sad to hear about the passing of Steve Jobs today, it was only fitting that I would heard of the news from a friend (former Apple employee), via text message on my iPhone 4. I quickly jumped on my Macbook Pro to check Facebook & Twitter to see if the rumor was true. Yep, and although Steve Jobs is gone, his legacy will never die. His company, his vision, and crazy ideas, have certainly changed the world and will continue to do so. Steve was a legendary and iconic leader who change the course of history and helped blend science with art in a way we can all appreciate. People can debate all they want about his personal idiosyncrasies, character flaws, but his is human after all, and at the end of the day he will be remembered for his accomplishments- remembered for his vision, creativity, persistence, insight, resolve, and passion for life. With that I bid farewell to a man who has certainly inspired myself and so many others for generations to come. Here’s to a crazy one!
Below are a few links I found scattered across the web that pay tribute to Steve Jobs.
Also, if you have not see this docudrama (Pirates of Silicon Valley) please do yourself a favor and watch. It’s about how Steve Jobs & Bill Gates competed in the late 70′s and early 80′s to give birth to the modern technology and PC industry. Cheesy quality, but quite entertaining and inspirational content!

No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don’t want to die to get there. And yet, death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it, and that is how it should be, because death is very likely the single best invention of life. It’s life’s change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new.
