Last night I was among the lucky in attendance at the Phoenix Convention Center to experience the infamous electro-house phenomenon, otherwise know as Deadmau5.
The mouse was definitely in the house, but this wasn’t Disneyland; it was a party dominated by one of the worlds best electronic music producers. As a part his Meowingtons Hax Tour, Tommy Lee & DJ Aero, Zedd, and Excision open the show for Deadmau5. Sofi even dropped in, as usual, to bust out the vocals on a couple tracks (Sofi Needs a Ladder and One Trick Pony). It’s always nice to see her pretty face!
Deadmau5 definitely took it up a notch with a spectacular lazer-light and sound show that was every bit of awesomeness I could have expected. The visuals on the new stage looked like an alien space craft had somehow landed inside the convention center. The venue was packed, but not crowded, and their was plenty of room to dance. Beer line was too long and slow, but other than that, no complaints.
