Welcome to the latest version of RyanCharleston.com, about the 5th time I’ve completely reinvented the wheel here, but things change fast in the web world and thus, you must adapt and constantly be current or you fade into the abyss we call the Internet. I guess I should call this version RyanCharleston.com 5.0 or maybe RyanCharleston.com 5G! Whatever you call it, its online and ready to go!
What should you expect here? Well, that’s not an easy question to answer. Historically, I’ve used this domain to publish a simple online resume, and although that remains a core component, the convergence of several disruptive events and changes in online behavior over the past 5 years have forced me to do more. I can no longer allow my site to to remain static, using up valuable bites in cyberspace without producing something.
Social networking, dynamic data feeds, built in apps, news feeds, frequent updates and more will be a part of this living, breathing, ever-changing site from here on. I’ll also be selling, promoting, and offering various products and services in an effort to actually turn this domain an asset. I’m also synthesizing various parts of both my personal and professional life here in one place. So expect RC5G (hey! that’s it, that’s what I’ll call it) to take on a mind of its own. I’ll be posting about random stuff, anything and everything that seems interesting to me that I feel may be interesting to my followers.

UPDATE: Well, as has happened before in the past, other higher priority tasks and distractions have prevented me from adding content to RC5G, but hopefully in the next couple months when I get settled into a new position I can start updating things more frequently.
